Description
Two pots and a selection of tile designs. I'm trying out carving along with the various stamps I made a few weeks ago, and so far enjoying the results a lot!
For those interested, my design influence comes from two places: 1 is Scandinavian fabric and pattern painting (about 20-30%), and 2 is Japanese ceramics, art, fabric, philosophy (Wabi Sabi and the Enso), and gardening (hence the plants you might see cropping up in the backgrounds of photos) (about 70-80%). I've been asked quite a lot by those who say the style is unusual, and truth be told there was no planning or design in how I have ended up exploring the themes I do, I simply listen, play, observe, and learn I love to muck about in seeking a perfect curve in my work, though sometimes can't decide if there is no such thing, or that the opposite is true (that all curves are perfect).
Clay: Stoneware buff (reclaimed).
